By submitting a warranty claim through our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are designed to ensure a clear, fair, and efficient process for all parties.

  1. Claim Submission
    • All warranty claims must be submitted via the official online form.
    • All required fields must be completed accurately.
    • Incomplete or incorrect submissions may result in delays.
  2. Response Time
    • Our team will review your claim and respond within 48 business hours.
    • Response times may vary during peak periods.
  3. Assessment Process
    • All claims are subject to review by Car Sales Express and/or the warranty provider.
    • Do not proceed with repairs without written approval.
    • Unauthorised repairs may result in claim rejection.
  4. Diagnostic Requirement
    • A diagnostic inspection may be required before approval.
    • Must be completed by a licensed mechanic or authorised repairer.
    • Diagnostic costs are only reimbursable if pre-approved in writing.
  5. Warranty Coverage
    • Coverage is subject to your selected warranty plan.
    • Not all components or issues are covered.
    • Exclusions may include wear and tear and maintenance-related items.
  6. Statutory Warranty (Victoria)
    • Certain vehicles sold by Car Sales Express may be covered by a statutory warranty under Victorian law.
    • This typically applies to vehicles that are:
      • Less than 10 years old, and
      • Have travelled less than 160,000 km at the time of sale
    • The statutory warranty period is:
      • 3 months or 5,000 km (whichever occurs first) from the date of delivery
    • Under statutory warranty, Car Sales Express is responsible for repairing defects that make the vehicle:
      • Unroadworthy, or
      • Not in a reasonable condition for its age and price
    • This warranty does not cover:
      • Fair wear and tear
      • Damage caused after delivery
      • Issues resulting from misuse or lack of maintenance
    • Vehicles sold outside these criteria may not be covered by statutory warranty.
  7. Repair Authorisation
    • Approved repairs must be carried out by an authorised repairer.
    • Car Sales Express reserves the right to:
      • Nominate a repairer
      • Supply parts
      • Request the vehicle be returned for inspection or repair
  8. Customer Responsibilities
    You agree to:
    • Maintain the vehicle as per manufacturer guidelines
    • Provide service history if requested
    • Stop driving the vehicle if a fault may cause further damage
  9. Claim Outcomes
    Claims may result in:
    • Full approval
    • Partial approval
    • Decline (with explanation provided)

    All decisions are based on warranty terms and supporting evidence.
  10. Communication
    • All correspondence must be conducted via email.
    • Additional documentation (photos, videos, reports) may be required.
  11. Limitation of Liability
    Car Sales Express is not responsible for:
    • Costs incurred without prior approval
    • Delays from third-party suppliers or repairers
    • Any indirect or consequential losses
